7 Days -Special Zanskar Tour with Phuktal Trek.

Detailed Day Wise Itinerary

• Day 1. Drive Leh Shargole via Alchi and Lamayuru Monastery. , (7 hrs)

  Morning after beak fast you will drive to Shargole with crossing Namkela and fotula.. The road condition will be good for today. After 45 minutes of drive you will enjoy the river meeting point of Indus and zanskar. Where prople use to go Chadar trek. On the way you will stop at Khaltse for Lunch.  Then the next will be Lamayuru.  

  Leaving Lamayuru, it is now a half-hour climb to cross the Fotu La Pass, (4,108m/13,479ft). Beyond here there is another big pass to cross called the Namikala Pass, (3,825m/12,550ft). This is about two hours on from the Fotu La Pass; another hour on from here is a small village called Mulbek (3,360m/11,023ft), where there is an incredible statue of Maitreya, Buddha of the future. It is said to date from about 700AD and is eight metres.    You now continue driving towards Shargole, but after only an hous before Kargil. Overnight in the Hotel. 

• Day 2. Drive Mulbekh to Rangdum via Suru valley. (6 hrs)

  Early in the morning you will take the breakfast  after you will drive to Rangdum.  At the Starting you will  enter to Suru valley. Kargil and suru valley is the country of Muslim community people. On the way you will visit Nun Kun Glacier & Suru valley. Evening you will  Rangdum Monastery. Overnight Hotel . 

• Day 3. Drive Rangdum to Padum via Pentsela pass. (6 hrs)

  Again travel by car  towards Zanskar. On the the way you will find beautiful view from the top of Pentsela pass. You can visit drang drung glacier . On the way there are some Nomadic camp with yak and sheeps. You will also visit Sani Monastery.  Overnight Hotel . 

• Day 4: Sight seeing of Karsha monastery, Stongday, & Zangla Nunnery. {6 hrs}

  After morning breakfast drive 10 km to Karsha which has the largest Geluk pa monastery of Zanskar.  On the way you will visit the Pibiting Monastery. Pibiting Monastery is small monastery on hill top at centre of Zanskar. From karsha Monastery you will find beautiful view of Central Zanskar. After that you will drive to Stongday Monastery.  After visiting Stongday Monastery you will drive to Zangla Nunner. Overnight hotel.

• Day 5: Drive Padum to Cha & Trek to Phuktal Monastery (6 hrs)

  Morning after breakfast you will drive to Anmoo, It will take 2:45 hrs  with the cover of 40 km.. On the way you will cross village like Barden Monastery, Mune, Raru & Ichar village.  You will visit Bardhen monastery on the way.  By reaching at Cha you will start your Trek to Phuktal Moastery. It will take aroud 2 hours to reach the Monastery. Evening you will visit the Monastery . Overnight in the Guest house of Monastery .   

• Day 6: Trek Phuktal to Purne and drive to Jispa via Shingula pass (6:30 Hrs)

  You will trek Phuktal to Purne village along the Tsarap river. It will take 1:30 hrs to reach Purne. Later you will drive to Jispa. On the way you will fid beautiful landscape. On the way you will cross village like Testa, Tangze, Sking and Kargyak. At the end you will cross Shingula pass (5050 mtr) . Later you will enter Lahul valley. Overnight hotel in Jispa

• Day 7: Drive Jispa to Leh or Manali .

  You will have options to return to Leh or Manali as per your requirement. If you want drive to Leh it will take 11 hours via Baralacha pass, Sarchu, Pang and Taklangla. The landscape on the way are beautiful. 

  OR

  If you want drive to Manali it will take 4 hours via Lahul valley and Rotang la pass. Overnight Hotel

• Note for Fix Departure

  1. Before starting the tour, You should be fully acclimatize. Yu should stay minimum
  2. All the food will be provided in local, Indian, Chinese and Italian
  3. Maximum People in the group will be 6. 
  4. You should bring Sun Screen / Lotion /cold cream, Walking Sticks, Down Jackets, Thermals, Water Bottle, Trekking Shoes, Hat, Gloves, Flashlight, Very warm Jackets
  5. Once all departures are confirmed, will not be canceled if fewer people are booked 

  6 The cost of 70 USD will be reduce with the addition of one person in group
