I was born in Sking Lungnak in Zanskar at an altitude of 4300 meter. When I was five year old I started my schooling from Lamdon Model High School Ufti Zanskar. Which is run and manage by a French Association called Adapt Association Zanskar. From the childhood I had great attachment and bond with the tourist and specially with the European people. I love to work with them and love to give services to them.

In the field of tourism, I had worked more than 10 years with Zanskar trek as a Guide. In additional to this I had been organizing trekking and tours for many groups of tourist. During these long years I got lots of experience in this field. Now I have my own Company based in Leh Ladakh called Djule Adventure. I want to run Eco-tourism. We organize all the tour and trekking which is zero harmful to our precious environment. We employed local peoples for Guide, cook , horseman, assistance etc.

We organize Trekking, Expedition, Rafting, Chadar Trek, Yak trek, Buddhist Pilgrimage tour etc. in Ladakh, Zanskar and Lahoul-Spitty with highly responsible Guide, professional cook, assistance, etc. We have our unique specialties of organizing skill which you cannot find in others agencies. Some of them are like opportunities to dine with local people, opportunity to witness the life style of monks in the monasteries, visiting school, Yak trek, extra ponies for the collection of garbage produce during trek, Chang parties and Culture show etc .

About Zanskar

Zanskar that popularly known as Little Tibet. Zanskar is the area where you want to treking the sculphed expenses of high altitudelandscape with snow peak, with clarity of atmosphere, know more about treks offered by us from luxury to hard treks. Zanskar is situated at an altitudeof 3600m spread over on astimated 7000sq km of mountanious territory gorge and dramatic glaciers. Zanskar is tri-aimed valley system situates between the Great Himalaya Range and the Zanskar range.

The kingdom of Zanskar has long been ruled by two kings from the royal family of Ladakh. Both kings had established their capitals Zangla and Padum. On the accession of India to independence, the entire region of Kashmir a Muslim majority but with a large Buddhist community was annexed to India under pressure from the arms. Neighboring Pakistan appropriated the northern part of the territory and calls for a very long return of the Srinagar region which therefore live under high tension for almost 20 years. Zanskar has long remained on the margins of these problems because of his total isolation, he was attached to the region of Ladakh in the Indian state of Kashmir.

Zanskar can only be achieved at the cost of a tiring journey combining blithely plane, bus, train, truck and foot. Apart from trekking takes two days of bus via Kargil, Suru Valley and the neck of the Pensi to 4400m. It then reaches the Tibetan paradise in 4 days, counting a stressful day essential acclimatization at Leh. Another solution is to take a train Delhi - Jammu, Jammu bus - then again two days Srinagar bus between in your mouth if you do not Wander en route (at least in Srinagar).

Zanskar is divided into four parts called Stod toward Kargil, Shma toward Lamayuru trek , Lungnak toward Darcha and Jungkhor called central Zanskar. Valley has about 15,000 inhabitants and farmers overwhelmingly Buddhist. The harsh climatic conditions and the acute shortage of water does not allow intensive cultivation, the villagers grow only what happen to their own needs and immediate. The main crops are barley, pea and wheat. Villagers sometimes have a small garden where they grow some potatoes, tomatoes, beans and other vegetables. There is no fruit tree in Zanskar, the fruits are rare and all are imported trucks or Ladakh and Srinagar. The cattle consist of yaks, goats and dzos, each family having usually 1 or 2 horses to move.

In summer the people of Zanskar those who don"t haven the goverment job are engage in the trekking as horseman, cook, helper, Guide, poter etc. And in winter people are busy in their prayer of religious book. The people are very religious. Al the vally are totally depend upon the agriculture and animals. Agriculture mostly like Barley and wheat. Potato,pea, radish, turnip, green vegetables are also get in summer season. For the people use to keep stock of all these vegetables. And they keep animals like Yak, Female yak ( Demo), Zoo, Zomo, Goat, Sheep, Donkey, Horses, etc. people use these animals for transportation, agriculture use,riding, etc. Animals provide them Milk, Butter, Curd, wool, leather, flash etc. In summer the womens of Zanskar are leave to Doksa (Nomadic) with their animail for 4 or 5 months.
